Back pain/Musculo-skeletal pain
A 31 year old general builder came for Body Stress Release having injured his back whilst lifting a heavy load, in an awkward position, five weeks previously. He was suffering from a lot of lower back pain and regular cramping to both calf muscles. He was also experiencing pain down his hamstrings and into his knees.
It also transpired that five years previously he had been off work for three years due to a back injury (again sustained at work) that had left him unable to get around other than on his hands and knees.
After four sessions of Body Stress Release he was completely pain free for the first time in many years. Because of the nature of his work he still attends for regular maintenance visits to ensure that any stress or tension that has built up is released before it causes a problem.

A 27 year old man came for Body Stress Release whilst training for the London Marathon. He had never run a marathon before and was very excited and wanted to fulfil a lifetime ambition but after a few months of training he started to get an ache in his lower back that wouldn't go away even with rest.
As the marathon started to get nearer it began to affect his training and he was getting worried so a friend recommended trying Body Stress Release. He felt he had nothing to lose so gave it a try and after a few sessions really noticed the difference.
He was able to increase his training again with regular sessions of Body Stress Release right up until just before the marathon, having had six sessions in total. He completed his first marathon without any pain or injury and, in his own words said "I put this down to the wonderful Body Stress Release I received."

Having been hit by a car as a child and now in his early 50s this client had lived with severe back pain for most of his life. It was so bad that he could not get upstairs to bed and he had to sleep on the floor downstairs.
As well as calf cramps, shoulder pains and headaches, the most uncomfortable complaint was that if he touched or knocked the area on his lower back (sacroiliac joint), he would feel a very sharp stabbing pain and his legs would almost give way.
At his first session, the client found the area too sensitive to be worked on. However by the fourth session, following 'releases', he was prodding the area excitedly as there was no sharp pain or discomfort, the stabbing pain had gone, and he had not had any calf cramps in the night.
The client regularly attends for 'a maintenance release' every 4-6 weeks as he feels his body is improving all the time and he feels fitter now than he did 20 years ago.

A four year old boy came for BSR as a result of a tobogganing accident. X-rays taken by the doctor had shown no broken bones but internal bleeding in the leg, which the doctors had advised would heal itself within 2-3 weeks. At the first appointment, the child was unable to weight bear and was experiencing some pain. Basic BSR 'releases' were carried out, with the mother reporting that within four days, the child was running around and obviously not in any pain. By the time of the second appointment, seven days after the first, the child came in without the leg brace, walking perfectly and reported that the leg was 'much better, thank you!'

A 53 year old housewife came for Body Stress Release, complaining of a bad back. She had been hosing the garden when her back had gone into a spasm. She needed help to get up and into the house.
The client came for BSR the next day. Walking very slowly and carefully and obviously in a lot of pain, she needed to use two sticks. Her posture was pulling to one side and she could not straighten up. 'Body stress' was 'released' in the lower back and neck areas.
On raising the BSR hi-lo couch, she reported a definite improvement in the reduction of pain.
At her second visit two days later, she was only using one stick, walking at a more normal pace and standing without having to lean on the stick.
At the third visit, another two days later, the client arrived with no walking stick. She was standing upright and not leaning over to one side and she reported that the pain was only noticeable when standing or sitting in an awkward position.

A 43 year old female came for three sessions of BSR. She was complaining of lower back pain, which she had experienced for six years, had stiffness in the morning, hip and neck pain. After each release, she expressed 'amazement' at just how much the pain had improved, with the result that by the 3rd appointment, there was no back, hip or neck pain. The client has started to recommend BSR to other friends as a result.
At the client's second appointment, she mentioned in passing, that she had been experiencing a pain in one of her knuckles for some time. This area was worked on and after just one session, the pain was gone; and a year and a half on, she has had no further problem.
The client has recently returned to BSR, following a fall downstairs, which resulted in a bruised buttock and pain in her lower back.

A 46 year old female secretary, who played golf regularly came for BSR reporting lower back pain, various sensations down the legs and stiffness in the upper back. In total she came for three sessions of BSR. After the first session, the lower back felt much better, although there was still stiffness in the upper back. By the third session the lower back pain had gone and there were no more sensations down the leg. Her sleeping was also much improved and there was less stiffness in the upper back.
The client has maintained her visits once a month. Apart from occasional stiffness, there has been no reoccurance of the original problems and the client has continued playing golf.

A pregnant 24 year old came for BSR complaining of constant lower back pain, sciatica and pins and needles in her left leg and arms. Various 'releases' were carried out and on the second visit, she reported that the lower back pain and stiffness was only now noticeable down the right hand side and there was much less pain in the morning, although it did get worse during the day, probably due to her being six months pregnant. By the third appointment, the client was overall much improved, with no pins and needles and her sleep patterns were much better.
