Training to be a Body Stress Release practitioner

Body Stress Release is a career for those:

  • who enjoy working with and helping people
  • looking for a career with the ability to choose one's working hours

Once a full-time practice has been established, a substantial income can be generated.

Location of the Body Stress Release Academy

The Academy is located in Rondevlei in South Africa. Rondevlei is a small village on the scenic lakes drive between Wilderness and Sedgefield on the Garden Route of the Western Cape. It is a six minute drive to the nearest of many beaches, 25 minutes to the resort town of Knysna and 30 minutes to George airport.

Accommodation is inexpensive and readily available in holiday cottages and guest suites.

Training

The BSR Academy in Rondevlei is the only place where you can train to be a Body Stress Release practitioner.

The Academy conducts the practitioner training course over five months. One intake of 24 students is accepted annually.

The course usually lasts from May to September, including an apprenticeship programme.

Syllabus

The subjects covered are anatomy and physiology, BSR philosophy and principles, technique theory and practise, communication, office procedures, client management, case studies and a study of the BSR constitution.

Academic requirements

Applicants should have a matriculation certificate or equivalent (A levels in UK) and be at least 25 years old.

A BSR practitioner needs to have self-confidence, maturity and empathy. It is important to have the ability to listen and relate to people from all walks of life, and who may be in pain and under stress. It is vital to be able to concentrate and explain clearly.

Applicants should have experience of Body Stress Release. If you have not experienced Body Stress Release before, it is recommended that potential applicants visit a local practitioner for a series of 'releases' before applying.

The practitioner will be able to discuss details of the course, about Body Stress Release as a career option and you will experience first-hand, the benefits of BSR.

Certification

Instruction is in the form of lecturing/teaching, demonstration and practical experience. The class size is limited to 24 students as a great deal of one-to-one teaching is provided.

On successfully passing the four final examinations and completing the apprenticeship programme, the student receives the BSR Practitioner Certificate.
