Men’s health
Stress can contribute to many of the common health problems we experience, so an assessment for stored stress or tension can help keep your body functioning at its best – regardless of gender.
For at least 10 years, I suffered from tennis elbow. Each year, I’d visit my GP for a steroid injection. This would alleviate the symptoms, a constant dull pain in the elbow, plus a moment of indescribable agony should anyone touch my elbow or should it so much as lightly brush against a wall or door frame. These injections may have masked the problem, but they certainly didn’t solve it. I’m a radio presenter, and a BSR practitioner came on my program to talk about Body Stress Release in our regular health feature. I have interviewed any number of complementary practitioners and generally remain fairly sceptical but, when he said he may be able to help, I thought: ‘What have I got to lose?’ After just one session, my arm was 80% better, and after the initial course of treatment, it was completely cured. Ever since, I have been able to prod or bang my elbow as hard as I would any other part of my body without the slightest trace of pain. Similarly, the constant dull throb is but a memory. Several years on, and I still visit for a maintenance session once every three months – just to be on the safe side. I’m astounded at how successful Body Stress Release has been for me, and delighted not to have to choose between regularly having foreign substances pumped into my body or putting up with constant pain.
